{Restaurant} Ananas Juice Bar

Last week I visited the Ananas Juice Bar for the first time. For days I had been craving a cold pressed, healthy juice and I finally got it there 🙂

The shop is located in a back street of the Istiklal Caddesi and it was easy to find. The staff was very friendly and helped us to pick juices. The bar is not big, but had enough space for a few people. The music was good and the atmosphere was welcoming. We all ordered a different juice. They were all delicious and freshly prepared.

What you should know about the cold pressed juice:

The cold press juicers are mechanically squeezing or macerating the fruits and vegetables. Compared to that, the centrifugal juicer is cutting the fruits and veggies with high speed cutting blades. This process heats the juice causing oxidation, destroying vital nutrients, enzymes and vitamins and leaving much of the liquid in the pulp. The cold press juicing takes much more time, but produces a higher quality product. It squeezes almost all liquid out of the fruit or vegetable and is not destroying their nutrients.

We were standing in front of the counter and could follow all the steps of the juice preparation.

Here are two of our juices, on the left the side you can see the orange, pomegranate and grapefruit juice and on the other side you have the green beauty made from spinach, orange and pineapple.

The green juice had such a sweet flavor and a great color!

If you are interested in visiting the Ananas Juice Bar you can find their menu and adress below. Compared to other cold pressed juice shops in Istanbul, the prices are reasonable.

The adress is: Yeni Çarşı Cd. No:23/B, Beyoğlu/Istanbul. Zoom in and you can find the location on the map.
